Ingolstadt - FC Ingolstadt 04 edged closer to promotion after opening up a six-point lead at the top of Bundesliga 2 courtesy of a 1-1 draw at home to 1. FC Nürnberg.

The visitors were the more threatening side in the first half, Yannick Stark giving their Bavarian rivals an early warning before Jakub Sylvestr and Alessandro Schöpf both went marginally close for the former top-flight giants.

Ingolstadt managed to take control after the interval, however, Stefan Lex firing wide from the edge of the area, the home side taking the lead from a Javier Pinola own goal 70 minutes in. Nürnberg responded well, though, Danny Blum heading home few minutes later to send Rene Weiler's charges level and earn his club a deserved share of the spoils.
