Bochum - 1. FC Kaiserslautern maintained their push for promotion to the top flight with a comfortable 2-0 win at VfL Bochum.

The game kicked off 15 minutes late at the rewirpowerSTADION due to traffic problems, but once the action got under way Lautern soon began to dominate, and went in front on the half-hour mark as Simon Zoller scored for the third game running with a smart near-post finish.

Bochum had gone into the game on the back of three straight losses, and although they competed well, they lacked the guile to trouble Kosta Runjaic's side, with substitute Philipp Hofmann sealing the victory on 76 minutes to keep the Red Devils in second place and on course for automatic promotion.
