Nuremberg - 1. FC Nürnberg secured their first win in eight games with a comfortable 2-0 victory over SV Sandhausen on Matchday 30.

Both sides had chances in an entertaining first half, with Jakub Sylvestr forcing an excellent reaction save from Sandhausen's Manuel Riemann, with Aziz Bouhaddouz dragging an effort wide at the other end.

It was the Franconians that were doing most of the running at the Grundig Stadion, and with 15 minutes remaining, they found their breakthrough when Sebastian Kerk stabbed home. A Guido Burgstaller effort in stoppage time then sealed the points for Rene Weiler's men, who move to 38 points and away from the threat of relegation.
