Düsseldorf - Bundesliga 2 side Fortuna Düsseldorf have appointed Frank Kramer as their new head coach for the 2015/16 season onwards.

The 42-year-old will be officially presented at a press conference on Wednesday 15 April. Kramer was previously in charge of SpVgg Greuther Fürth, joining in March 2013 and leading them to a third-placed finish later that season before losing out to Hamburger SV in the promotion/relegation play-offs. Fürth parted company with Kramer on 23 February this year, with the club in 13th place and just seven points above the drop zone.

Taskin Aksoy is currently at the helm of the Düsseldorf first team on an interim basis, having taken over the reins after Oliver Reck was relieved of his duties at the end of February.
