Karlsruhe - Promotion-chasing Karlsruher SC cruised to a comfortable 3-0 victory over struggling St. Pauli to boost their hopes of reaching the Bundesliga.

Rouwen Hennings put clear daylight between the two sides with a well-taken first-half brace that lifts the Dutchman's personal tally for the season to 13 goals. St. Pauli, meanwhile, offered little threat in attack and were lucky not to fall further behind when Daniel Gordon headed over from close range shortly before the interval. The visitors' fate was sealed in the 69th minute, through, when Manuel Gulde nodded Enrico Valentini's free-kick into the net to put the icing on a routine win for Karlsruhe, who move to within a point of second-place SV Darmstadt. St. Pauli, however, slip into the automatic relegation places on goal difference.
