Hamburg - South Korean debutant Kyoung Rok Choi scored twice as FC St. Pauli moved off the foot of the Bundesliga 2 table courtesy of a comprehensive 4-0 win over promotion-chasing Fortuna Düsseldorf.

The visitors started brightly, but came to rue Axel Bellinghausen's early missed header when Choi finished calmly past Michael Rensing to hand the relegation-threatened hosts a ninth-minute lead. A mere seven minutes later, and the 20-year-old midfielder capitalised on some lax Düsseldorf defending to score his, and his side's, second from close range. Waldemar Sobota then sent the home fans into dreamland when he netted a third shortly before the break.

Charlison Benschop wasted an opportunity for Fortuna within seconds of the restart, and a rampant St. Pauli again made the visitors pay when Choi's cross was volleyed home at the back post by Daniel Buballa. Confidence was coursing through Ewald Lienen's men, who could have added to the lead through Sobota and John Verhoek late on. As it was, the Hamburg outfit's biggest win of the season lifts them to within a point of safety, while Düsseldorf slip to seventh.
