Sandhausen - SV Sandhausen and 1. FC Union Berlin took a point each from their mid-table Bundesliga 2 encounter thanks to a 1-1 draw.

An own goal from Christopher Trimmel gave Sandhausen a fortunate early lead with the ball rebounding in off the Berlin defender's knee. The hosts held their lead well without goalkeeper Manuel Riemann even being tested, until another own goal brought the guests level.

Timo Achenbach was the unfortunate culprit this time, turning Michael Parensen's header past his own goalkeeper into the roof of the net. The visitors enjoyed a brighter spell in the second period and Sebastian Polter went closest to grabbing a winner eight minutes from time, but Riemann saved well to ensure the spoils were shared.
