Fürth - TSV 1860 Munich produced an excellent display away from home to beat Bavarian rivals SpVgg Greuther Fürth 3-0 and give themselves breathing space in the relegation battle.

Hunting a first home win since October, Fürth began on the front foot. Kacper Przybylko enjoyed several early chances to capitalise on the hosts' dominance, while Marco Stiepermann also spurned an opportunity. The Clover Leaves came to regret their wastefulness when, ten minutes before the break, Hungarian winger Krisztian Simon latched onto Korbinian Vollmann's through-ball and finished calmly after rounding Wolfgang Hesl.

Vollmann turned scorer after his side had dominated the first 20 minutes of the second period. The youngster's driving run through the middle wasn't picked up by the hosts' defence, and he added a cool finish to his earlier assist. Sensing a chance to pull clear of the relegation zone, 1860 upped the ante and got their reward when Daniel Adlung bent an unstoppable shot beyond Hesl in the 71st minute. Faced with little resistance, the Lions closed the game out calmly to move within three points of their local rivals.
