Braunschweig - FC St. Pauli Hamburg moved off the bottom of the Bundesliga 2 standings thanks to a priceless 2-0 win away at Eintracht Braunschweig.

Pauli were forced to sit deep early on as Emil Berggreen forced the first save of note from Robin Himmelmann in the visitors' goal, but it was the Hamburg-based outfit who took the lead when Sören Gonther headed home a Dennis Daube free kick with 25 minutes gone. Lennart Thy saw an effort cleared off the line by Braunschweig defender Marcel Correia as Pauli turned the screw, before Lasse Sobiech popped up to seal the win from yet another inch-perfect Daube delivery.
