Kaiserslautern - Mike Büskens tasted defeat on his return to the SpVgg Greuther Fürth dugout as the Clover Leaves were beaten 2-1 at 1. FC Kaiserslautern.

In his first game in charge since being dismissed as Fürth head coach in February 2013, Büskens saw his side make a confident start to the game without really testing Tobias Sippel in the home goal. The damage was done for the visitors either side of the break, however, as two goals put the Red Devils in the driving seat.

On 37 minutes, Jean Zimmer was allowed time and space to strike at goal, with his powerful effort deceiving the keeper to make it 1-0, before Fürth's Ronny Philp upended Simon Zoller in the box, allowing Chris Löwe to stroke home the resulting spot-kick. Nico Gießelmann gave the guests hope with a stunning free-kick off the bar with five minutes to play, but Lautern held on for a win that keeps them in touch with leaders FC Ingolstadt 04 at the top of the standings.
