Darmstadt - Jan Rosenthal scored his first goal for his new club as SV Darmstadt 98 secured a last-minute 1-0 victory over Eintracht Braunschweig.

Defences were on top in the first half, with Braunchweig looking particularly well-organised at the back and almost nicking a half-time lead through a Saulo Decarli header that was well saved by the hosts' Christian Mathenia in goal.

The poker continued into the second period, with both teams seemingly content to settle for a share of the spoils. With 20 minutes to go, however, Rosenthal was introduced to the action and it was the former Eintracht Frankfurt man that would have the final say, stroking a left-foot shot into the corner in the 92nd minute to maintain the pressure on league leaders FC Ingolstadt 04.
