Ingolstadt - League leaders FC Ingolstadt suffered a surprising 3-1 defeat at home to an enterprising SV Sandhausen side on Matchday 21.

The damage was done for the hosts in a catastrophic opening 20 minutes. Poor defending left Andrew Wooten free to side-foot the opening goal via the help of a deflection from an inside right position, before the 25-year-old then added a second from the penalty spot after he had been fouled by the onrushing Ingolstadt keeper Ramazan Özcan.

Ralph Hasenhüttl's men gradually began to gain some sort of a foothold in the match in the second half, and managed to halve the deficit when Stefan Lex converted from close range. The last word belonged to Sandhausen, though, as Nicky Adler headed in for 3-1, cutting the home side's lead over 1. FC Kaiserslautern at the top of the standings to five points.
