Ingolstadt - FC Ingolstadt extended their lead at the top of Bundesliga 2 to seven points with a 2-1 win over rock-bottom FC St. Pauli at the Audi-Sportpark.

The league leaders dominated from the outset and took a deserved lead midway through the first half when Mathew Leckie’s effort from the edge of the penalty box took a wicked deflection off Pauli defender Lasse Sobiech before nestling in the visitors’ net. St. Pauli thought they had earned themselves a precious point when Sebastian Schachten prodded home from close range, but Pascal Groß’s composed finish secured all three points for Ingolstadt and deepened St. Pauli’s woes at the foot of the table.
