Hamburg - A late Fabian Holland effort gave SV Darmstadt 98 their first away win of the season and plunged FC St. Pauli deeper into trouble.

The home side had begun the game bottom of the table after a run of just two points from their last seven games, and they made a nervous start at the Millerntor Stadion, failing to test the goalkeeper in the first half.

Darmstadt had barely threatened themselves, save for a Hanno Behrens effort that the midfielder headed wastefully over the bar, but they gradually came into the game in the second period, bossing possession and winning territory. Still, the game looked destined to end goalless until home defender Lasse Sobiech inadvertently laid the ball on a plate for Holland to sweep in a late winner. Pauli remain rooted to the foot of the table, while Darmstadt move up to third.
