Frankfurt - FSV Frankfurt were left without a single home win from the first half of the season as Fortuna Düsseldorf picked up a 2-0 win at the Frankfurter Volksbank-Stadion.

Charlison Benschop was Fortuna's match-winner with a goal and an assist, although the visitors rode their luck towards the end of the first half. Ultimately, though, they were good value for a win which keeps their promotion challenge on the rails.

Frankfurt built up a head of steam towards the end of the first 45 minutes and only luck prevented them from grabbing the lead before Ben Halloran did that in fortunate circumstances for Fortuna, deflecting Benschop's effort unwittingly with his heel past the wrong-footed Patric Klandt. Benschop did not need a hand – or a heel – to double Fortuna's advantage in the 63rd minute with his low shot beating Klandt to secure the points for Oliver Reck's men with Lars Unnerstall saving a penalty from Vincenzo Grifo on a day when luck was not on Frankfurt's side.
