Karlsruhe - Karlsruher SC moved back into the top three in the Bundesliga 2 standings thanks to a 1-0 win over Eintracht Braunschweig at the Wildparkstadion.

The hosts built up an early head of steam with Braunschweig goalkeeper Rafal Giekiewicz at his very best to pluck a Dominic Peitz effort out of the top corner before Manuel Torres received a pass from Hiroki Yamada on the edge of the six-yard box, turned and shot powerfully into the roof of the net, leaving Giekiewicz no chance at all.

Braunschweig could find no answer, although with the scoreline stuck on 1-0, Karlsruher could hardly just sit back and wait for the final whistle. They did not gamble and look for a second either, ensuring a tense finale which, after three minutes of stoppage time, ended in relief for Karlrsuher.
