Kaiserslautern - 1. FC Kaiserslautern climbed up to second in Bundesliga 2 on Saturday with a comfortable 3-0 win over FC Ergebirge Aue, who remain rooted to the foot of the table.

Defender Willi Orban was the unlikely match winner as the Red Devils swept their guests aside within the first 45 minutes at the Fritz-Walter-Stadion. The Kaiserslautern number four netted his first in the seventh minute from a Kerem Demirbay corner. Aue missed a good chance to level, and with that wasted, Kaiserslautern took charge with Jean Zimmer volleying in what was perhaps meant to be a shot from Ruben Jenssen.

Just prior to half-time, Orban headed in a free-kick from Srdjan Lakic which came back to him off the crossbar, and the game was effectively decided. Orban had chances to complete his hat-trick as Kaiserslautern hammered home their superiority to rise into an automatic promotion position ahead of the weekend's remaining fixtures.
