Braunschweig - Havard Nielsen scored the only goal of the game as Eintracht Braunschweig stretched their winning streak to five games with a hard-fought 1-0 win over 1. FC Nürnberg on Monday night.

There was little between the two sides during the opening half an hour, but it was the hosts who upped the pressure before the break as they duly took the lead with Nielsen adding to the brace he scored in Matchday 14's 3-0 win over FSV Frankfurt by opening the scoring in the 38th minute.

Fresh from ending table-toppers Ingolstadt's unbeaten start to the season last weekend, Nürnberg looked bereft of ideas in the final third and failed to break down the Braunschweig bollwerk. The Lions perhaps should have added to the scoreline through Bayer 04 Leverkusen loanee Seung-Woo Ryu, but nonetheless moved into second place courtesy of the narrow win on home soil.
