Sandhausen - RB Leipzig missed the opportunity to move up to second in the Bundesliga 2 standings after being held to a goalless draw away to lowly SV Sandhausen.

The visitors were way below their best, although credit has to go to Sandhausen coach Alois Schwartz's men for a disciplined display that defied their pre-match position of 15th, two points above the bottom three. Indeed, it was the hosts who carved out the better scoring opportunities, with Marco Thiede and Aziz Bouhaddouz going as close as anyone to breaking the deadlock. Promotion hopefuls Leipzig, who were largely restricted to speculative long-range efforts, now trail league leaders FC Ingolstadt by six points.
