Fürth - 1. FC Heidenheim 1846 wasted the chance to break into the top two of Bundesliga 2 as they were held to a goalless draw at Greuther Fürth.

Heidenheim had a good early chance, but the post came to Fürth's rescue with goalkeeper Wolfgang Hesl beaten by Julius Reinhardt's shot. Florian Niederlechner wasted another glorious opportunity before Robert Zulj, who salvaged Fürth a point against Düsseldorf last weekend, had the Bavarians' first chance just before half-time, losing control of the ball at the crucial moment.

While Heidenheim had the best chances in the first half, it was Fürth who went closest to snatching the points in the second. Zulj again wasted the best opportunity from close range, but it was not a night for goals in Franconia with Heidenheim remaining fourth and Fürth edging up to ninth.
