Munich - Fortuna Düsseldorf extended their unbeaten run to ten games and closed the gap at the top of the Bundesliga 2 after beating TSV 1860 München 1-0 in the Allianz Arena.

A fourth-minute goal from the visitors' centre-half Bruno Soares, nodding in at the back post after a corner wasn't properly cleared, was enough for the three points. Despite 1860's consistent pressure throughout the first period, the early setback had knocked them out of their stride and they failed to make the most of their opportunities. It was much the same story in the second half, although after the hour mark Düsseldorf began to control proceedings and were able to close the game out when their substitutes' fresher legs began to tell.

The result means Düsseldorf close the gap on FC Ingolstadt 04 at the top to three points, while the men from Munich are languishing in 15th, a place above the relegation zone.
