Darmstadt - SV Darmstadt 98 pulled three points ahead of RB Leipzig thanks to a 1-0 win in a top-of-the-table clash at the Merck-Stadion am Böllenfalltor.

Dominik Stroh-Engel's eight of the season gave Darmstadt a flying start to the game with a header from Marcel Heller's intelligent cross back to him. Stroh-Engel then underline his strength in the air with another effort which missed the target as the hosts turned up the heat.

Leipzig tried to turn things around with the lively Yussuf Poulsen taking the game to Darmstadt. The hosts doubled up well, though, defending their lead without leaving any gaps for Leipzig to exploit. The result was secured after nearly five minutes of stoppage time as Darmstadt remarkable season continued, while Leipzig lose yet more ground after their draw with 1. FC Kaiserslautern on Matchday 12.
