Aalen - Odise Roshi scored the only goal of the game as FSV Frankfurt 1899 condemned bottom-of-the-table VfR Aalen to a third consecutive defeat courtesy of a 1-0 scoreline at the SCHOLZ Arena.

There was little between the two sides during the opening exchanges with neither willing to risk making a costly mistake. It was to be the story of the first-half for the most part with Aalen offering little or nothing in terms of an attacking threat, while Frankfurt, though they invested more going forward, only went close once before half time, Zlatko Dedic failing to get the better of Daniel Bernhardt.

Roshi was introduced off the bench at the break and immediately injected a fresh zip into Frankfurt’s performance, going close to breaking the deadlock with an effort from distance. However, both sides had to wait until the 71st minute for the opening goal, which deservedly went the way of the visitors as a training ground free-kick routine allowed Hanno Ballitsch to play in Roshi, who tucked home the only goal of the game with aplomb to move FSV five points clear of rock-bottom Aalen.
