Braunschweig - Eintracht Braunschweig moved level on points with SV Sandhausen by beating the Baden-Württemberg club 2-1 on Friday evening.

Benjamin Kessel gave Braunschweig the lead just before the end of the first half with his first goal of the season - a sweet strike on the volley from the edge of the six-yard box. The hosts earned themselves a bit of breathing space ten minutes into the second half when Mushaga Bakenga doubled their lead, latching onto Raffael Korte's fine lobbed pass before sending the ball over onrushing Sandhausen keeper Manuel Riemann. Andrew Wooten pulled a goal back for the visitors in stoppage time, but it was too little, too late for Alois Schwartz's side.
