Ingolstadt - A stunning effort from Karl-Heinz Lappe in the final minute of injury time saw FC Ingolstadt 04 come from behind for a second time to snatch a point in a 2-2 draw with newly-promoted SC Darmstadt 98 at the Audi Sportpark.

Back in the second tier for the first time in 21 years and brimming with confidence following a 1-0 victory over SV Sandhausen, the visitors created all the early pressure before Romain Bregerie rose highest to head home from a free-kick just past the quarter-hour mark. However, the lead didn’t last long as Ingolstadt struck back six minutes later, when Stefan Lex fired home from the edge of the area to send the sides in level at the break.

Darmstadt were living dangerously and leaking chances, but though they had produced a winner when Dominik Stroh-Engel got on the end of Bregerie's cross to plant a back-post header past Ramazan Özcan. However, there was to be a late twist in the tale as substitute Lappe produced a sublime overhead kick with virtually the last kick of the game to earn Ingolstadt a share of the spoils.
