Cottbus - FC Energie Cottbus failed to hold on to an early lead as they were defeated 2-1 by TSV 1860 Munich, leaving them seven points adrift of safety.

Mathias Fetsch profited from a set-piece situation in the first half, knocking the ball past Gabor Kiraly from close range. Despite what the league table suggests, Cottbus were by far the stronger side in the opening 45 and took a deserved lead in at the break. However, their lead didn't last long after the restart as Yuya Osako's cross found Dominik Stahl, who levelled the score with a powerful first-time effort. With the tables turned, the Lions pushed forward and subsequently grabbed the winner 20 minutes from time when Daniel Adlung scooped the ball into the net to leave Munich in the relative safety of mid table.
