Hamburg - St Pauli moved up to seventh in the standings after a narrow 2-1 win over rock-bottom Dynamo Dresden.

The hosts monopolised possession from the get-go, albeit without seriously testing Dynamo goalkeeper Benjamin Kirsten, but what the first half lacked in goalmouth action, the second 45 more than made up for as Mohamed Aoudia's header gave Dynamo a shock lead. Pauli were level two minutes later courtesy of Florian Kringe, but it was home stopper Philipp Tschauner who proved the real hero, saving Cristian Fiel's fierce penalty just eight minutes before substitute Sebastian Maier's dead-ball winner.
