Düsseldorf - made up for a missed penalty with the winning goal as Fortuna Düsseldorf beat VfL Bochum 1-0 to record their second win of the season.

The hosts began the game brightly and after a period of pressure were presented with an opportunity to open the scoring when Reisinger was felled by Heiko Butscher in the box. The former SC Freiburg man took the spot-kick himself, only to see his strike come back off the post, but his disappointment turned to joy seconds later as Levan Kenia rescued the ball and presented him with an easy finish.

Bochum had won just once before this game and they looked short of ideas as they went in search of an equaliser. Instead it was Düsseldorf that were winning most of the loose balls and the likelier side to score the next goal. Reisinger again went close with a low strike after the break, before a host of good openings on the counter-attack passed the home side by. Mike Büskens' team were good value for the victory, though, and now move up to ninth in the table, albeit temporarily.
