Ingolstadt - After parting ways with head coach Tomas Oral, FC Ingolstadt 04 announced on Sunday that Marco Kurz will take over at the helm ahead of the 2013/14 Bundesliga 2 campaign.

The 44-year-old, who was in charge of 1899 Hoffenheim until early April, will be officially presented as Oral's successor on Monday before the team begin their pre-season preparations on Tuesday.

Ingolstadt become the fifth club Kurz has taken charge of after enjoying stints with SC Pfullendorf, 1860 Munich, 1. FC Kaiserslautern and Hoffenheim. Furthermore, the Stuttgart native is well-versed in second tier affairs after guiding Kaiserslautern to Bundesliga promotion in 2011.
