Bochum - VfL Bochum 1848 ended their Bundesliga 2 campaign with defeat, after falling to a 2-1 loss at home to 1. FC Union Berlin.

After a quiet first half, Union went two goals in front thanks to strikes from Baris Özbek and Steven Skrzybski early in the second period. The hosts then attempted a fightback and pulled one back late on through Christoph Kramer. It proved too little, too late, however, as Union held on comfortably for a win that sees them finish in ninth place, while Bochum end the campaign in 14th.
