Sandhausen - Following Gerd Dais' dismissal as head coach on Monday, SV Sandhausen have moved swiftly to appoint a successor, with Hans-Jürgen Boysen taking over the reins.

It is Boysen's third stint in the role at the club, after previous spells from 1994-96 and in the 2000/01 campaign. The 55-year-old has signed on until the end of the current season, with the deal to be extended should Sandhausen avoid the drop.

Uphill climb

He faces a tough task, as Dais was removed in the wake of a dismal start to the Bundesliga 2 campaign, with the club rooted to the bottom of the league after losing nine of their first 14 outings.
