Kristensen gets booked for unsportsmanlike conduct before Voll goes in the book for time-wasting. The referee working overtime at the end of this clash.

Frankfurt keep knocking
Six minutes of overtime have been added and Frankfurt are attacking in waves now, but Pauli hold firm.

Wide from Weißhaupt!
Pauli break forward against the run of play and Weißhaupt is sent through on goal. He takes the ball too wide to the left to evade a defender and leaves himself too tight an angle. His shot is overcooked, rolling past the far post.
89'
Pauli digging in
The visitors look more than happy to take a point now and are camped deep inside their own half, desperately trying to drag this game over the line.
88'
Batshuayi thinks he's won it
Frankfurt send in a searching cross from the right and Batshuayi controls and smashes into the net, only for the whistle to blow. Replays show the Belgian had clearly handled the ball before applying the finish. No goal.
86'
Kristensen so close!
A long ball to the back post finds Kristensen, in-behind the Pauli defence. He hits it on the volley, sidefooting the ball smartly. But the effort sails just wide of the left post.

Smith goes in the book
The first yellow card of the game goes to Pauli's skipper for the day, who body checks Knauff aggressively rather than get beaten down the line for pace.

Batshuayi levels!
Game on, as Frankfurt make it 2-2. Pauli lose the ball in midfield and the Eagles soar forward. Uzun feeds Chaïbi, who slots a neat ball through the defence and into the path of Batshuayi, central inside the area. The Belgian swivels and smacks a low effort beyond Voll.

Should do better
Ekitiké rises in the area to meet a cross but he doesn't generate enough power or get it in the corner. It's held easily.

Uzun should score!
Knauff sprints down the right onto a return pass and flashes a powerful ball across goal. Uzun, just a couple of metres from the goal line, gets up to meet it in the air but can't direct his header and it sails out for a goal kick.

Guilavogui stopped
The big forward dribbles past one player on the edge of the Frankfurt area and looks to beat last-man Theate, only for the latter to just stab the ball away in the nick of time. Guilavogui has been a real handful today.
62'
Tuta limps off
The defender has looked uncomfortable for a while now, after tweaking something early in the second half. He goes off for Uzan.

Wayward
Skhiri and Knauff exchange neat passes on the edge of the Pauli area but they're kept at arm's reach and can't shoot. The ball is worked back to Ekitike on the edge but he balloons a shot high and wide.
56'
More of the same
Frankfurt keep pushing, keep probing, but that final ball is lacking. It's now been 34 minutes since the home side have had a shot.
53'
Frustration
Again, Frankfurt look to probe and pull Pauli apart but struggle to break them down in the final third. A moment of magic might be needed.
50'
Thwarted
Guilavogui is sent charging through on goal by a long ball forward but Trapp storms off his line to clear just in time.
49'
Pauli on top
A positive start to the second half from Pauli, who have pushed further upfield and kept the ball well in the opening minutes.

Eagles change one
Just the one substitution from either side, with Batshuayi tasked with coming on and saving the day for Eintracht Frankfurt.

Pauli digging deep
After taking the lead, the visitors have sat deep and expertly dealt with everything Frankfurt have thrown at them. Pauli are defending doggedly and not allowing the Eagles a moment's space around the area.

Eagles cry penalty
Kristensen hurls a long throw into the Pauli box and it is flicked on to the back post. Ekitiké challenges for it but goes down after getting contact from a defender. The referee is having none of it, however.
35'
No way through
The Eagles are dominating possession and desperately seeking a way through Pauli's low block, but aren't having much luck.

As things stand...
If the scores stay as they are now, Pauli will jump above Hoffenheim going into the final matchday. The latter have Bayern in their final game of the season, and are just two points above Heidenheim, in the relegation play-off place. This result could be huge for Pauli.
29'
Pauli menacing
The visitors are looking extremely handy on the break and are happy sitting in deep and countering when the chance arises. Sinani wins the ball high and feeds Afolayan, on the left flank. The Englishman shoots but his effort is saved.

It's late spring and it's warm weather, so the players are given a short opportunity to grab some much-needed H20.

Creative 'keeper
Voll may only be a stand-in between the sticks for Pauli but he's bagged himself an assist, thanks to that smart ball forward.

Guilavogui gives Pauli the lead!
After a few minutes of sustained Frankfurt pressure, Voll catches a long ball and pumps it forward to Guilavogui, waiting on the halfway line. He's under pressure from a defender but shrugs him off and takes a good first touch before racing through on goal. He has a long way to go, but holds his nerve, rounding Trapp and finishing into an empty net. Superb counter.

Afolayan shoots
Pauli are breaking with real menace when they do win the ball back. Afolayan is sent charging down the left flank, cuts inside the defender and lets fly from the outside of the box. His effort is blocked.

Eagles take charge
After that blistering start, the game settles into some normality, with Frankfurt bossing the ball and Pauli camped deep inside their own half.

Saliakas levels!
The visitors hit back almost immediately. A break down the left flank sees Sinani square across the box to Guilavogui. The forward can't get a shot away, and feeds it back to Saliakas, lurking on the edge of the box. The latter sends a cross/shot from the right sailing over Trapp and inside the far post. An insane opening few minutes.
2'
Kristensen opens the scoring!
What a ridiculous start by the home side. Not even 30 seconds have elapsed before Kristensen pokes home from close range after a blistering counter attack straight from kick-off. Ekitiké races down the right wing before feeding the ball inside. Kristensen and Larsson exchange passes on the edge of the Pauli box before the latter finishes. Wow.

Permutations
Frankfurt's place in the UEFA Champions League will be secure if they win. Even in defeat, though, they can reach that goal if Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig fail to beat Bayer Leverkusen and Werder Bremen respectively. A draw, meanwhile, will be enough if Dortmund do not win. Pauli, meanwhile, will be automatically secure of staying up if they win, while a point would almost certainly do the job considering their superior goal difference over 16th-placed Heidenheim.

So close
St. Pauli are within touching distance of securing their place in the Bundesliga for next season, with five points between them and the relegation playoff place with two games to go. Ensuring their safety won't be easy though, as they face a strong Frankfurt side and a Bochum team looking to end their season on a high.
Pauli in survival mode
The visitors can seal Bundesliga survival with a win against Eintracht Frankfurt. Should Heidenheim and Kiel both lose on Saturday, they'll achieve the same feat without even needing to kick a ball.
Champions League football beckons
A Frankfurt victory at home to Pauli will seal their Champions League qualification, regardless of results elsewhere on Matchday 33. The Eagles are in excellent form, too, having lost just one of their previous seven Bundesliga games.
