Not enough

The Foals have only had one shot on goal since the break - Stöger's penalty.

Too much power

Ryerson breaks down the right and crosses - but the ball has too much on it for Guirassy at the near post and the guinean's first touch sees the ball go out.

Nmecha for no-one

S Dortmund look to emerge from a sustained spell of Gladbach pressure, it's once again Chukwuemeka who leads the charge. He finds Nmecha, who looks to stab a first-time through-ball into the area but Omlin snaffles up the miscued effort.
66'

First move

Joker Ryerson dribbles in from the right and shoots with his left, but only produces a harmless bobbling effort.

More bite

Kovac brings another hothead into the increasingly heated game in the form of Ryerson. The Norwegian replaces Couto at right-back.
58'

Now it's Gladbach's turn

With two goals from very few forays into the Dortmund penalty area, Seoane's team now have the upper hand and are naturally looking to equalise. Kobel plucks a high ball out of the air in the penalty area.

Stöger is ice cold!

It's not Kleindienst but Stöger who steps up and converts low to the bottom right to make it 3-2. He then gets carried away and provokes the South Stand, earning himself a yellow card.

Gerardo Seoane on facing Dortmund

"Dortmund's trend is upwards – both in terms of their style of play and their results. They're now playing much faster forward and have more personnel in the penalty area, which they can exploit with vertical passes. I expect a fierce and energetic opponent. We want to put in a better performance than we did against Freiburg. It will be important to establish our own game and have some possession ourselves. We need to do a better job of putting pressure on the opponent in certain areas to win back the ball and, if possible, quickly transition to the next level."

Niko Kovač on Dortmund's form

"When we look at Mainz, Freiburg and Munich, we have clearly stabilized. It's all about passion, intensity and aggression, and we showed the boys that again today. We can play football."
