Full-time: Bochum 1-2 Augsburg

Somehow Augsburg have come away with three points today and much of that is down to Dahmen in the Augsburg goal. Bochum were fantastic in the second half and deservedly equalised through Hofmann. Maier was then sent off for Augsburg and it looked like Bochum were going to go on and win it, only for Kömür to break away in the 90th minute for Augsburg to score the winner. Heartbreak for the Bochum players and fans.

Augsburg retake the lead!

Out of nowhere! Bochum have absolutely dominated this half and yet they may leave with no points. Augsburg venture forward for the first time in several minutes and find what could be the winner through Kömür. Tietz has the ball on the right and spots Kömür's run through the middle. His pass finds the teenager and he steadies himself and finishes to make it 2-1. Crazy!

Almost a second

Krauß whips in a fantastic cross from the left that is inches away from finding the boot of Ordets just in front of the goal. If he had made contact with that, Dahmen would have struggled.

Bochum are level!

It's been coming. Bochum have been in complete control so far this half and now they have their equaliser. Hofmann gets on the end of a cross from Passlack that Dahmen initially tips against the bar but he is unlucky as the ball rebounds off the bar and against his head and goes in. Nothing less than Bochum have deserved.

Half-time: Bochum 0-1 Augsburg

The visitors lead at the break through Essende, whose deflected shot beat Horn after 16 minutes. Bochum tried to answer back and would have were it not for a spectacular save from Dahmen to keep out Sissoko. Jakić then had one cleared off the line right at the end of the half that would have made it 2-0. Still anyone's game at the break.

Jess Thorup on facing Bochum

It's going to be a difficult game. This game will show what kind of a team we are. Unfortunately, we lost against Bayern despite having our chances, and now we'll see which direction we're heading in. We're only going there with one goal; we want to win the game."
camera-photo

Dieter Hecking on facing Augsburg

"Augsburg are difficult to play against, very compact, but also very dangerous in transitional moments. We have to remain patient. That's also my appeal to the spectators, that it won't help to get restless. We need to be calm and have a good approach to this game because it will be a task that will demand everything from us. Nevertheless, like in every other game, we will get our chances and then we have to be there to convert them and create an atmosphere here that makes it difficult for any opponent."

Bochum in a slump

The home side are on a run of three straight defeats and have won just one of their last six games – interestingly, that victory was against Bayern on Matchday 25. After 28 games Bochum have 20 points, making it their lowest Bundesliga tally ever by this stage. Three points would be hugely welcome.
camera-photo

Augsburg flying

A win for the visitors will guarantee their Bundesliga survival with five matches still to go. Jess Thorup's side are currently eight consecutive away games without defeat – one more would break an 11-year-old club record.
