NKUNKU OK

Relief for Leipzig as Nkunku returns to his feet. Meanwhile, three minutes of added time are indicated by the fourth official...
87'

NKUNKU DOWN

Gamboa is booked after catching Nkunku with a raised boot. Worryingly for Leipzig, their top scorer stays down...
85'

CHANCE!

Rexhbecaj takes possession in the Leipzig box. He has Locadia to his right, but goes it alone and shanks over.
82'

AND NOW BOCHUM ARE BEHIND!

Henrichs advances over halfway and threads a ball into the feet of Nkunku. He controls in a cental area outside the box, before driving with unerring accuracy into the bottom corner. That's his 14th Bundesliga goal of the season.
81'

EXTRA MAN IN MIDFIELD

Tedesco throws on Laimer in place of Forsberg, with a view to bringing a bit of stability to the midfield. Bochum are on top right now...
78'

CHANCES!

Antwi-Adjei heads Holtmann's teasing cross against the foot of Gulacsi's left-hand post. Rexhbecaj connects with the loose ball, but his goal-bound effort is blocked by Orban's right thigh. Superb defending.
77'

SWEEPER-KEEPER

Riemann's out quickly as Leipzig go over the top for Nkunku. Neuer-esque from the Bochum No.1, who calmly chips the bouncing ball to a teammate.
75'

ALMOST

A ball is blocked into the path of Locadia. He feints to shoot, taking him past Angelino on the edge of the area, and his eventual effort is blocked behind for an ultimately fruitless corner. There's a late winner in this...
72'

REIS ROLLS THE DICE

As Leipzig did, Bochum rotate their entire forward line. Messrs Antwi-Adjei, Holtmann and Locadia - all of whom started against Bayern - are on. Henrichs is also into the action for Leipzig defender Mukiele.
70'

OFF THE BAR!

Simakan concedes a free-kick down by the corner flag. Pantovic launches the set-piece towards the penalty spot, where Losilla rises unmarked to head against the top of the crossbar.
68'

OFF TARGET

Here come Leipzig again. Olmo's raised the tempo and is finding pockets of space. He crosses for Forsberg, who miscues his left-footed volley. Warning signs for Bochum all the same...
66'

BIG CHANCE!

Forsberg does really well to dispossess Gamboa on the right-hand side of the Bochum area. The Swede finds the unmarked Silva in the middle, but it takes him by surprise and his left-footed strike is scuffed wide.
64'

GAME OPENING UP

The pace picks up as Rexhbecaj fires a first-time cross into the Leipzig area. The blue shirts lie in wait, but Leipzig get it clear.
59'

TRIPLE CHANGE

Andre Silva, Christopher Nkunku and Dani Olmo join the action, with Yussuf Poulsen, Dominik Szoboszlai and Tyler Adams making way. Expect a completely different Leipzig now...
58'

Substitution

57'

PANTOVIC!

The ball breaks for Pantovic just inside the area. He has runners off him, but goes for goal and lashes over.
54'

BOCHUM SHOT

Rexhbecaj gets a bit lucky on the edge of the Leipzig area as he gets a shot off that Gulacsi has to parry.
46'

AS YOU WERE

No changes yet. How long before Tedesco rolls the dice? Olmo scored one and assisted two from the bench against Hertha last week...

HALF-TIME! BOCHUM 0-0 LEIPZIG

No goals and few chances, but plenty of endeavour in Bochum. Leipzig haven't really got going, which is no surprise given the number of changes Tedesco made to his starting line-up. Expect to see Nkunku and Olmo on before long.

STAT ATTACK

Leipzig have never lost to a promoted team in their Bundesliga history, boasting a record of 19 wins and three draws. Against Bochum, Leipzig have a flawless record of six wins out of six.
35'

RIGHT IDEA

Not a bad ball from Angelino as he dinks one in from the left towards the six-yard box. Riemann reads it all the way, though, and smothers before Poulsen can jockey into position.
31'

WELL-DRILLED BOCHUM

Since losing 3-0 to Leipzig on Matchday 7, no club has conceded fewer than Bochum's 16 goals. No wonder Leipzig are finding space in the final third hard to come by.

FIRST OPENINGS FOR LEIPZIG

Forsberg travels a long way with the ball at his feet. He eventually releases Angelino to his left, whose teasing low cross is hacked away by Leitsch before Szoboszlai can pounce. It's pinged back in for Poulsen, but his header is off target.
18'

FINAL PASS LACKING

Both sides full of running in the opening exchanges, but there's a lack of composure in the final third. Feelers still very much out.
11'

MUKIELE OK

Henrichs was getting stripped for action moments ago, but Mukiele is back on his feet again and off on another powerful run. Good news for Leipzig.
7'

MUKIELE DOWN

Bella-Kotchap wins the ball, but catches Mukiele in the process. The Leipzig defender was moving full tilt when they collided, and needs attention.
2'

POULSEN POWER

Poulsen gets his head down and uses his strength to palm off his marker on the right-hand side. He gets a cross in, but Riemann is there to gather ahead of Szoboszlai.
Kick-off!

MOMENT OF REFLECTION

There's a one-minute pause for reflection in support of the people of Ukraine, ahead of kick-off. On Thursday, the DFL released a statement reading, "The DFL condemns the Russian attack on Ukraine in the strongest possible terms. War in any form is unacceptable – and incompatible with the values of sport. Our immediate concern is for the people affected in Ukraine."

WATCH: CHRISTOPHER NKUNKU TACTICAL ANALYSIS

It's only the second time this season Leipzig's 13-goal top scorer Nkunku has started a game on the bench. The other was against Mainz on Matchday 18, when he scored one and assisted two as a half-time substitute. A further word of warning to Bochum: the Frenchman has scored in three straight Bundesliga games and has six goals in 2022. Only Bayern's Robert Lewandowski (nine) has more since the turn of the year.

REIS DOFFS HAT TO LEIPZIG

Thomas Reis has masterminded a win over Bayern and draw with Dortmund already this season, and knows it'll take another special effort to take points off Leipzig. "I watched the Europa League match [against Sociedad]," Bochum's boss said. "Leipzig were in full control and absolutely deserved to get through to the next round. The goal they conceded did briefly cause some unrest, but you saw their quality once again. We’re in for a tough one. For me, Leipzig are one of the top three teams in Germany. Their football is outstanding, especially in terms of their passing game."

TEDESCO FULL OF PRAISE FOR BOCHUM

"It's impressive to see the kind of season VfL are having as a promoted side," Leipzig coach Domenico Tedesco said prior to the game. "The way they have consistently been picking up points, especially in the second half of the season, is remarkable. They have proven that they are capable of playing extremely well, as we saw against Bayern. We will need to be alert, given that our aim is to take all three points home from Bochum."

WATCH: HERTHA 1-6 LEIPZIG

Leipzig cruised to victory in Berlin last weekend, with Nkunku scoring two of six goals.

MORE ON THOSE TEAMS

Elvis Rexhbecaj returns to the Bochum midfield following suspension, while head coach Thomas Reis rotates his entire front three. Gerrit Holtmann, Christopher Antwi-Adjei and Jürgen Locadia drop to the bench, with Sebastian Polter and Takuma Asano coming in, and Milos Pantovic shifting into attack. Less of a surprise is the changes made by Leipzig counterpart Domenico Tedesco. Christopher Nkunku, Dani Olmo, Andre Silva, Konrad Laimer and Benjamin Henrichs make way following Thursday's UEFA Europa League play-off win over Real Sociedad. Tyler Adams, Dominik Szoboszlau, Emil Forsberg and Yussuf Poulsen start. Nordi Mukiele, meanwhile, fills in for suspended defender Josko Gvardiol.
