It's all Leipzig, but Arminia are defending with their lives.

The 10 men of Arminia double their lead! Krüger picks off Haidara's wayward pass and finds Okugawa in the box. He makes no mistake from 15 yards. Incredible!

KLOS SENT OFF!

Arminia are down to 10 men. Klos, who hasn't been on the pitch for much more than 10 minutes, was shown a yellow initially after catching Orban on the ankle, but the card's upgraded upon VAR review. Dangerous challenge, even if there was no malice in it.

ARMINIA LEAD!

Leipzig overcommit men forward, and are caught out by a blistering counter. Serra shifts the ball out left to Krüger, before continuing his run. Gulacsi does really well to block Wimmer at close quarters, but the rebound is put away on the stretch by Serra, who travelled over 50 yards in starting and finshing that move. It's his last act, too! Klos is on, alongside Kunze.

NKUNKU ON THE PROWL

Leipzig's top scorer sets off on a jinking run. He beats a few Arminia shirts, before being crowded out on the edge of the area. The visitors continue to frustrate their hosts.

SAFE HANDS

Leipzig get in behind the Bielefeld defence with Nkunku. Silva heads the Frenchman's left-wing cross into the danger zone, but Henrichs is beaten to it in the air by Kapino.

DISALLOWED GOAL

Brilliant combination play from Wimmer and Okugawa, who beats Gulacsi. It won't count, though. Wimmer was clearly offside when he played the ball.
44'

OFF TARGET

Angelino drives up the left, but his shot sails wide of the upright. Leipzig need a Plan B.

A much better delivery from Szoboszlai this time. He has time to pick his cross, and finds Nkunku, who heads over.

BACKS TO THE WALL

Bielefeld defending admirably this first half. They haven't allowed Silva any chances in the penalty area, but are conceding a few too many corners.

STOPPAGE

Mukiele is down, receiving treatment in the Arminia area after challenging for a corner with Serra. He looks groggy as he gingerly gets to his feet.

PASS AND MOVE

Nice one-touch football from Leipzig as Silva turns away from his man. He tries to thread a ball through for Nkunku, but doesn't quite get his angles right and Kapino can gather.

ANGELI-NO!

Angelino gets into an advanced position for the first time, but Brunner blocks his cross behind. Szoboszlai's corner is also hooked away. Leipzig looking settled...

LEIPZIG PRESSURE

Dominik Szoboszlai finds the side netting for Leipzig. The hosts come back at Bielefeld with Nkunku, but he's swarmed by four or five navy shirts and Arminia get it clear.

DENIED

Patrick Wimmer explodes into the Leipzig box. The shot's on for a moment, but Josko Gvardiol slides in to prod the ball behind. Bielefeld are eventually forced back from the ensuing corner, though.

FORSBERG CAN'T CONTINUE

Tyler Adams is on for Forsberg in central midfield. Combative for creative - perhaps Kampl will be the more advanced of the double pivot...?
5'

FORSBERG DOWN

Forsberg's hobbling about after going down with no one near him. The Swede lost his footing as he took a step backwards. Tedesco looks on pensively...

TEDESCO ASSESSES BIELEFELD

“Obviously they’re second from bottom, which is a number. And then if you don’t look beyond that, you forget a lot of aspects about this team. They run a huge amount – I think they’re in first place for distance covered. In intensive runs, they’re around fourth or fifth. When you look at the games they’ve lost, it’s not like the team are allowing themselves to be slaughtered. I think Leverkusen beat them 4-0, but apart from that they’ve always been very close scores.”

BIELEFELD TEAM NEWS

Bielefeld also make two enforced changes, with the influential duo of goalkeeper Stefan Ortega and captain Manuel Prietl not available. It sees Sebastian Vasiliadis return to the side, while Stefanos Kapino makes his Armina debut in goal. His last Bundesliga game was a 2-2 draw for Bremen at Hertha in March 2020, while he played 18 games for Sandhausen in Bundesliga 2 in the first half of 2021. It’s the first time Ortega has missed a league game for Bielefeld since November 2018. He’d played every minute of the last 105 matches (50 in the Bundesliga, 55 in Bundesliga 2). Captain Prietl had also played every minute in the league since the end of January.

LEIPZIG TEAM NEWS

Domenico Tedesco makes two changes from his side that drew 1-1 in Augsburg on Wednesday. One is enforced, with Konrad Laimer out because of an ankle injury. Dominik Szoboszlai comes into the team for his first start in Tedesco’s third game in charge, with Emil Forsberg dropping deeper to partner Kevin Kampl in midfield. The other change sees Nordi Mukiele back in the team in place of Mohamed Simakan, who was a doubt for today in any case.
