ADDED TIME

We're going to have three minutes of added time here in Frankfurt.
86'

FINAL PUSH

Schalke are still on top here and bring on Raman to help their final cause to try and scrape a point from this game. Frankfurt holding on with last-ditch defending for the most part.
83'

MATONDO GOES CLOSE

The Welshman is played in behind the Frankfurt defence and almost goes down under the challenge of Hinteregger in the box. He stays on his feet and goes for goal, but Trapp makes a big save.
81'

Substitution

80'

WHAT A CHANCE

Silva is clean through after Kostic wins the ball and sends it forward. He takes his time to pick his spot but somehow slots it wide past Nübel and the Schalke goal. He has his head in his hands and can't believe it.
79'

WILL THAT CHANGE THINGS?

Schalke have been on top throughout this second half and came within inches of bringing the game level. However, with a one-man disadvantage now for the final 10 minutes it could be tough for them to find a way back level. Frankfurt will look to take advantage of the counter-attack in the meantime.
77'

BOZDOGAN SENT OFF

The teenager has been shown a red card in his second Bundesliga game for a second yellow card after a late foul on Makoto Hasebe.
77'

FRANKFURT CHANGE

Gacinovic is on for Rode looking to spark the Eagles back into life.
75'

BIG CHANCES

Almost an equaliser for Schalke after McKennie heads down into the box for Matondo who flicks at goal, only to see it saved by Trapp. The ball falls to Gregoritsch in front of goal but his effort is blocked on the line by Abraham with some superb defending.
74'

BOUJELLAB BOOKED

The fourth yellow card of the day for Schalke with Boujellab cautioned for a foul on Sow.
69'

DOUBLE CHANGE

Suring up the back, Frankfurt bring on Hinteregger and Sow for Ilsanker and Kohr.
68'

WHAT A MISS!

Unbelievably, Kamada does not make it 3-1. A powerful run from da Costa into the box sees him reach the byline before cutting the ball back. Kamada collects inside the six-yard box and shoots, but is leaning back and somehow puts the ball over the top of Nübel's goal...
67'

CAUSING PROBLEMS

Frankfurt haven't been the same team in this second half so far, and neither have Schalke in all honesty. A very different second half so far but still Trapp has yet to be forced into a save for the home side. The efforts on target have either been blocked or gone in.
61'

ONE-MAN SHOW

US international midfielder Weston McKennie has scored three of Schalke's five goals since March. No forward has found the target since Kutucu's strike in the 1-1 draw with Paderborn on Matchday 21. But the Royal Blues have not scored more than once in a game since beating Gladbach 2-0 on Matchday 18.
59'

CLASS FROM MCKENNIE

A superb header from the USMNT midfielder as he rises highest in the box to beat Kohr and Ilsanker to Schöpf's free-kick and head the ball in, back across goal and beyond Trapp.

ANOTHER CHANGE

Kutucu is replaced by Gregoritsch here with Schalke looking for answers in this second half.
56'

SCHALKE WORKING HARD

The Royal Blues may have already gone another goal behind in this second half, but they are keeping composed and playing a possession game now, trying to push the ball forward.
54'

OCZIPKA BOOKED

A trip on Silva gets the Schalke captain in the book.
50'

ABRAHAM HEADS HOME!

The set piece business does the job for Frankfurt for their second. Kostic has a free-kick on the right flank, just outside the Schalke box. He powers a cross to the back post and Abraham beats Boujellab with ease to reach it and head the ball home.

BOOKINGS

Kamada and McKennie go into Guido Winkmann's book. McKennie for holding Kamada back on the run, and Kamada for smashing the ball away into another Schalke player. Kamada now suspended for Frankfurt's trip to Cologne at the weekend.
35'

STORY SO FAR

If you're just tuning in and are looking for a quick recap, it's been all Frankfurt here. Schalke started brightly and were competing well in the opening minutes but since then, the Kamada, Kostic and Silva show has been in full swing. The home side looking to score again before the break.
31'

SUPER SILVA

Andre Silva has scored more goals than any other Bundesliga player since the league's restart, with seven goals and even one assist on top of that in nine games.
28'

THE BREAKTHROUGH!

It's that man again, Andre Silva, and it's the three key men who create it for Frankfurt. Kostic wins the ball in his own half and sends Kamada way down the left. He quickly spots Silva in space in the box and finds him with a tidy pass. Silva moves the ball onto his right foot past a defender to fires a shot past Nübel to open the scoring.

PILLING ON THE PRESSURE

Frnakfurt are in total control here as Kostic sees a shot from blocked from Kabak. He, Kamada and Silva have been heavily involved so far to help the home side enjoy seven attempts on goal already in this first half. Schalke have had two, both off target.
23'

KAMADA EVERYWHERE

This time he's perfectly placed to be on the end of Kohr's flick, and he can turn on the edge of the Schalke box to shoot once more. This time on his right it goes straight at Nübel and he tips it over the bar.
19'

KAMADA GOES AGAIN

The Japan international picks up the ball 25 yards from goal and has space to turn on a six-pence and shoot at goal with his left foot. It brings a hand into the air from Nübel to be sure as the ball drifts over his crossbar.
17'

BIG CHANCE FOR KAMADA

The man in-form almost opens the scoring. Ilsanker's header into the box is flicked on inauspiciously by Miranda and falls to Kamada at the near post. He cuts inside past his marker around seven yards from goal and shoots for the near post, but drags his effort wide. Could have been the perfect start!
15'

STAYING COMPACT

The Royal Blues aren't letting Frankfurt stretch this game wide early on here. The home side have made more crosses from open play than any other side in the league.
13'

A STOPPAGE FOR BECKER

The centre-back turned right midfielder is off briefly to change his shirt and get treatment to his nose after taking a knock which has produced some blood. He'll be fine to continue.
10'

YOUNG TALENT ON SHOW

There's a host of future stars on show today, with Ozan Kabak, Weston McKennie, Ahmed Kutucu and Can Bozdogan among others for injury-hit Schalke. While Silva and Daichi Kamada have been starring for Frankfurt, along with Evan N'Dicka in defence.
7'

CLOSE!

A half-chance for the home side as Kostic dinks a cross into the box from the left. It loops over Kabak with Silva just behind him, and the Frankfurt striker looks to nod on but in the end, Kabak recovers to push it behind across goal.
4'

EARLY PRESSURE

The home side dominating the possession in the early stages here, and have earned their first corner of the game. Even without big scoring Martin Hinteregger on the pitch, the Eagles are always a threat.
1'

SWAPPING WINGS

One small change to our original line-ups is that it appears Timo Becker is on the right side of midfield, with Can Bozdogan on the left from the start.
1'

AWAY WE GO!

The ball is rolling in Frankfurt and we're underway for our first game of the evening.
Kick-off!

THE SILVA SHOW?

Only one player has scored as many goals as Robert Lewandowski's six since the Bundesliga restart. No, it's not Kai Havertz. No, it's not Erling Haaalnd. It is, of course, Frankfurt's Andre Silva. The Portugal international on loan from AC Milan is really finding his feet in Frankfurt and having an outstanding end to the campaign. Keep your eyes peeled on him.

BUT HOPE ON THE HORIZON?

A change of tactic to a 4-4-2 formation against Bayer Leverkusen last weekend saw a much-improved Schalke side concede only in the final 10 minutes to take a draw against Peter Bosz's side. With young players in unfamiliar positions, as well, it was impressive to see the Royal Blues' performance. Will we see more of the same tonight with much of the same side involved?

SCHALKE STRUGGLES

Schalke are winless in their last nine away league games, claiming four points in that time. The Royal Blues have shipped the second-highest number of goals in 2020 (27).

HOME NOT QUITE A FORTRESS

Despite winning their last three away games in a row, Frankfurt are on their worst home run of the Hütter era with just one point from the last 12 available. However, Frankfurt have not lost in eight home games against Schalke. Their last defeat to Wednesday's opponents at the Commerzbank Arena came back in March 2010.

FRANKFURT TEAM NEWS

For Adi Hütter there's just two changes to his side which took an emphatic 4-1 win and three points home with them from Hertha Berlin last time out. Stefan Ilsanker comes in for Lucas Torro in holding midfield while Andre Silva starts up front ahead of Bas Dost after his brace from the bench in the German capital.

SCHALKE TEAM NEWS

Just the one change to Schalke's team for this evening's opening Bundesliga game and it's an enforced one for David Wagner. Captain Daniel Caligiuri is suspended so in comes Timo Becker. Usually a centre-back, Becker came on at left midfield against Leverkusen last time and is expected to start there today, which would see Can Bozdogan move over to the right flank.
