BRUMA MIGHT HAVE WON IT!

Just minutes after coming on and Bruma has Leipzig's third goal. Halstenberg with a low cross to the back post and Bruma calmly dispatches it through Pavlenka's legs with a great finish. He receives a booking for his celebration, but he won't mind.

ALL BREMEN NOW!

The away side look the most likely to get a winner here, with Kruse, Sargent and Osako looking very lively in attack. Bruma is on now for the home side though, can he do what Sargent has done for Bremen?
77'

SARGENT DOES IT!

What an outstanding goal. Sargent starts a counter, before Osako is played in behind. He's held up by Upamecano but does well to keep possession before turning back to face goal. Sargent is making the perfect run to his left and he's found, before the American finishes superbly past Gulacsi with a first-time shot off the post to bring the game level.

ANYONE'S GAME NOW...

Both sides look as if they have another goal in them in this game. Sargent is on and looks desparate to get on the ball, while Werner is going in search of his sixth brace of the season at the other end...
67'

KRUSE HAS BREMEN BACK IN IT!

Bremen are back in the game and the goal comes from Max Kruse. Gebre Selassie cuts the ball back from the right wing for Kruse who's just inside the box, and his shots beats Gulacsi's into the bottom corner with the help of an Upamecano deflection.

ANOTHER KONATE CHANCE!

The Frenchman's header is goal-bound, but Pavlenka pulls off a superb diving save to his left which keeps Bremen in with a fighting chance here.
63'

SARGENT INCOMING!

Kohfeldt is once again turning to Josh Sargent to salvage something here. This will be his second Bundesliga appearance, after coming on from the bench on his debut to score against Fortuna Düsseldorf.

BREMEN STARTING SUPERBLY

The away side are making their intentions known in this second half. Dominating the ball and doing so in the Leipzig half, they just can't seem the most of their chances once again. Surely a goal is coming for the only Bundesliga team to have scored in every game so far this season.
49'

ANOTHER CHANCE GOES BEGGING FOR JOJO!

Nicknamed so by his team-mates, Johannes goes close again for Bremen. He superbly beats Orban into the box and shoots across goal, but drags the ball beyond Gulacsi's far post.
48'

EGGESTEIN GOES CLOSE!

The young forward should at least get this chance on target, as he is on the end of Rashica's cross to the back post, but sends his volley wide of goal.

A HALF OF CHANCES TAKEN...

Werder Bremen had more attempts on goal (8) than Leipzig (7), but the home side have been clinical where the away side have been nervous. A chance from nothing for Klostermann was smashed home, while Werner's goal a far more fortunate situation which he still had to make the most of. Bremen have not been totally outplayed, they just haven't made the most of their opportunities.
44'

WERNER DOUBLES THE LEAD!

Terrible work from Bremen from a goal kick, as Pavlenka plays the ball short to Kruse but his fails to control the ball and Leipzig pounce. Werner takes the ball around the keeper and slots home for his 11th goal of the season.

KRUSE FLUFFS HIS LINES!

A big chance for the Bremen captain moments after Langkamp's, as Rashica's cross is deep to the back post and Kruse has a free header at goal. It doesn't get the right contact it needs, though, as the ball bounces into the ground and into Gulacsi's hands.
39'

BREMEN SHOWING PROMISE

The away side cause problems in the Leipzig box from a corner as Veljkovic rises highest to head the ball back across goal, and his centre-back partner has his header cleared off the line by Konate. The loose ball falls to the back post and Rashica, but his shot blazes high and wide.
35'

KONATE TRIES A KLOSTERMANN!

The French centre-back has time and space in front of him on the ball and takes a shot at goal from all of 30 yards out. It's not a million miles away, as Pavlenka has to make sure it drifts over his goal.
31'

WERNER'S FIRST CHANCE!

Poulsen sends a perfect pass to Werner in on goal, but his first touch lets him down as he tries to break away from the Bremen defence. He's pegged back and has to go for goal with a chip, but puts too much on the shot and the ball drifts over the crossbar.
30'

KAMPL AND SABITZER CAUSING PROBLEMS

The attacking midfield pair are everywhere so far, and while Werner and Poulsen have still been limited to few touches of the ball, Kampl and Sabitzer have been strutting their stuff. Bremen have done well to keep them limited to just one assist so far.
22'

WHAT A STRIKE!

Leipzig take the lead after an outstanding strike from Lukas Klostermann. Kampl plays him the ball and he just takes off. Running straight ahead, he reaches the edge of the box and smashes the ball towards the near post, it beats Pavlenka and hits the net via the crossbar.
14'

INCREDIBLE DOUBLE BLOCK FROM LEIPZIG!

J. Eggestein breaks down the right wing on the counter and looks to play the ball to the back post for Kruse, but Konate produces the first great block. His defensive work only sees the ball run loose into the middle of the box, though, and Rashica is first to it to shoot at goal, but his effort is blocked by a flying slide from Klostermann. Outstanding work from the Leipzig defence to keep Bremen out!
13'

SABITZER GOES CLOSE!

Werner races into the box down the left wing and looks up to see Sabitzer in space just behind him. He cuts the ball back and the Austrian shoots at the near post, but the strike on his left foot just hits the side-netting of Pavlenka's goal.
9'

FIRST CHANCE FOR BREMEN!

The away side produce the first shot on target as Milot Rashica is played in behind down the left wing. He enters the box from the left and shoots at goal on his left foot, but it's straight at Gulacsi and a simple save for the Leipzig number one.
5'

EVEN STEVENS SO FAR...

Neither side has been able to take full control of this festive fixture so far. The home side have had most of the possession, but Poulsen and Werner are yet to have efforts on goal. It could be a busy day for Jiri Pavlenka in the Bremen goal if they do.
1'

UNDERWAY IN LEIPZIG!

The home side are shooting from left to right here in the first half, with Bremen going the other way in their dark away kit.
Kick-off!

A HAPPY END TO 2018 FOR WERDER?

Bremen have not won an away game in the Bundesliga since October, but can they make a happy end to what has been a successful 2018 for the club? Florian Kohfeldt's side could end the day in seventh place. Easier said than done, though, when you're away at Leipzig.

LEIPZIGS DEADLY DUO

Today Werder Bremen's main task will, of course, to be to get three points from their trip to Leipzig. But in order to do that, Timo Werner and Yussuf Poulsen will have to be stopped in their tracks.  Leipzig have scored 28 goals this season. Of those, 18 have been scored by Werner or Poulsen. And when Timo scored, he only scores twice. The German striker has scored five braces this season to reach ten goals.
