Bayern Munich striker Sandro Wagner was in confident mood after netting his first goal since rejoining the Bavarians in the winter transfer break, contributing to a 5-2 victory over his former side Hoffenheim.
Speaking to bundesliga.com after the final whistle, the Germany international said: "In my eyes I'm the best German striker, I don't need statisticians to say that – I couldn't care less what they say anyway. I don't set any store by what they say. For me the important thing is to play well. I'm at the best club in Germany and I scored a goal, so that can only be a good thing."
