It has been a long road to the bright lights of the Bundesliga for Hannover 96 forward Jonathas, but having played a part in six goals (three goals, three assists) since his arrival, the Brazilian has taken no time at all to settle in.
Indeed, after several seasons spent criss-crossing the continent from Spain to Russia, a journey that took in nine clubs, Jonathas is finally looking to put down roots in one place with his young family.
"After playing for a lot of clubs so far in my career, I'd like to settle in Hannover," said the 28-year-old, who is contributing to a goal every hour this season.
That desire to put down roots is a similarity between Jonathas and Hannover, hinting that the pair could prove the perfect match. After several up-and-down years, the Lower Saxony club are also looking to settle, hoping to remain in the Bundesliga and make this a permanent return to the top flight.
