The 24-year-old has thrived under the pressure that comes with representing one of the world’s biggest clubs, delivering goals, assists, and moments of creativity that have made him one of the most influential players in European football.

No longer viewed simply as a rising star, Olise now looks every bit a player ready to dominate on the biggest stage of all.

Speaking exclusively to Bundesliga - the DFL Magazine, the 30-year-old forward reflected on his campaign, as well as the challenges facing modern footballers.

Bundesliga: Serhou Guirassy, over the past three seasons you’ve consistently been among the top three goalscorers in the Bundesliga. Do you ever find yourself thinking, 'Perhaps I really am an exceptionally good striker'?

Serhou Guirassy: I hadn’t realised that statistic at all, but I’m obviously delighted. Every now and then I chat to my friends about how cool it would be to win the Golden Boot one day. But that’s easier said than done. Sometimes there are simply players who are better; you have to be honest about that. Harry Kane scores at an incredible rate. Bayern Munich are already extremely strong in attack with players like Luis Díaz and Michael Olise. You have to give them credit for that. I try to keep up with them as closely as possible. But of course, it’s nice to be among the top scorers. It shows consistency.

Now, Hainer has addressed the speculation while visiting a Bayern fan club in Bavaria. "Michael Olise is a Bayern Munich player with a long contract, and we are not a selling club," he said. "Should Florentino Pérez be thinking about sending us an offer - which he hasn't done so far - he should save himself the trouble."

The Danish national team doctor, Morten Boesen, has since offered a promising statement on Eriksen's condition.

"Christian is doing well and walked off the pitch by himself," he said.

"As I see it, the pacemaker responded as it should. He was briefly gone, but very quickly regained consciousness, and we were quickly in contact with him."

During the 2020 UEFA European Championship in 2021, Eriksen suffered a cardiac arrest during Denmark's game with Finland and was subsequently fitted with an Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator (ICD) – a type of pacemaker.

Germany: Gerd Müller - 365 Bundesliga goals

In 60 years of the Bundesliga's existence, none have been able to threaten Der Bomber's all-time high tally of 365 strikes, each of which he scored in the mighty red and white colours of Bayern Munich. Across the span of his 14 seasons in the Bundesliga between 1965 to 1979, the late, great Müller managed more than 30 goals four times, and famously held the all-time record of Bundesliga goals in a season with 40 to his name. That record would stand for 49 years before being broken by Robert Lewandowski.

As a result, Hoffenheim stopper Oliver Baumann is set to lose his status as Germany's undisputed number 1, despite playing in the side's recent friendly match against the USA in Chicago. 

Baumann, who has hardly put a foot wrong for Germany, earned praise from Nagelsmann for his professionalism in their 2-1 win against the World Cup hosts on Saturday.
