Home again: Dortmund have re-secured the services of their own former protege Nuri Sahin (m.) on an 18-month
Sahin (l.) was first promoted to Dortmund's senior squad in 2005/06 under then-coach Bert van Marwijk (r.), fresh from helping Turkey to the U-17 European title
On 6 August 2005, at the age of 16 years, 11 months and one day, Sahin (l.) made his Bundesliga

Ahead of the start of the current campaign, Sahin moved on loan to the Premier League and Liverpool FC in search of more match-time
But his spell at Anfield was not marked by great success either - just seven league starts, in which he was invariably substituted, and 16 appearances overall
Back at Borussia, Sahin (l.) got to enjoy that winning feeling again post haste, if only in the pre-restart Wintercup in Düsseldorf.
