Goalfest in Dortmund
Marcel Schmelzer (l., against William Kvist) and his colleagues get off to a high-tempo start
Robert Lewandowski (r.) gets round VfB keeper Sven Ulreich here, but Georg Niedermeier manages to put in a saving clearance off the line
Spoiled for choice: Lewandowksi and Shinji Kagawa share the ball between them
With 33 minutes on the clock, Kagawa puts BVB in front with his twelfth league goal of the season
With Neven Subotic (m.) and his defensive colleagues keeping the guest attack fairly well under wraps, BVB continue to dominate proceedings
Vedad Ibisevic (r., against Sebastian Kehl) has a couple of half-chances on the break for VfB...
...but when Jakub Blaszczykowski puts the hosts 2-0 up four minutes into the second half, Stuttgart look to be in dire straights...
...and Dortmund well on the way to pulling eight points clear of second-place FC Bayern, who visit Nuremberg on Saturday
The celebrations prove premature however - Ibisevic pulls one back as a warm-up act to two goals inside as many minutes from Julian Schieber - and Stuttgart are in front!
Not for long though, as Mats Hummels pulls the hosts level within minutes before Ivan Perisic (m.), fresh off the bench, gives BVB the lead again in the 87th minute. Game over, surely?
Indeed not, until the final whistle - an old football saw that VfB's Christian Gentner pays testimony to here!
