Philipp Lahm admitted "it's fun" playing for FC Bayern München after the unbeaten Bundesliga leaders knocked holders VfL Wolfsburg out of the DFB Cup on Tuesday.

A trio of first-half goals, including a brace from Thomas Müller, saw Bayern home comfortably 3-1 at the Volkswagen Arena, leaving a smile on Lahm's face.

bundesliga.com rounds up what some of the protagonists had to say...

Philipp Lahm (Bayern captain): "It's fun at the moment. Our positional play was outstanding. During the break, we said we had to keep our focus, and we managed to do that in part. We were up against very, very good opponents who have their qualities. But at the moment, it's hard to beat us."

Thomas Müller (Bayern forward): "You always intend to do this and that, but then you have to go out and do it on the pitch. In the first half, we were flawless. We made very, very few technical mistakes and we controlled the ball well, with sustained attacking moves. We played simply superbly, and defended with discipline. It was just the way we wanted."

Pep Guardiola (Bayern coach): "Congratulations to the team. They played very well with lots of aggression. We looked especially good on the ball and hardly ever lost possession. We know Wolfsburg are dangerous and we wanted to defend high up the field. The first half was very convincing. We're very, very pleased."
