Dortmund – Borussia Dortmund made it seven wins out of seven in 2015/16 as they booked their place in the UEFA Europa League group stages with a resounding 7-2 win over Odds BK on Thursday evening.

Dortmund set their stall early and would have taken the lead inside the opening quarter of an hour were it not for a stunning triple save from the visitors’ No1 Sondre Rossbach. It was one-way traffic in BVB’s favour and, though Ole-Jörgen Halvorsen headed Odds in front against the run of play, a quickfire double from Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Marco Reus gave the hosts a deserved lead soon after.

Reus and Shinji Kagawa both added to the scoresheet before half-time and there was little change to proceedings after the restart as Ilkay Gündogan got in on the act six minutes into the second half. Reus bagged his third hat-trick in a Dortmund shirt at the end of another free-flowing attack and, while Oliver Berg did pull a goal back for the visitors, in the end it was Kagawa who got the last laugh to cap off a breath-taking performance from Dortmund.
