Cologne - Jürgen Klinsmann has called up five Germany-based players to his 22-man squad for the US national team's upcoming friendlies against the Netherlands and Germany.

The inclusion of Bundesliga trio and national team regulars Fabian Johnson (Borussia Mönchengladbach), John Anthony Brooks (Hertha Berlin), Timothy Chandler (Eintracht Frankfurt) comes as little surprise, but Bundesliga 2 duo Alfredo Morales (FC Ingolstadt 04) and Bobby Wood (FC Erzgebirge Aue) have also been given the chance to impress as Klinsmann prepares to name his CONCACAF Gold Cup squad next month.

The USA face the Netherlands in Amsterdam on 5 June, before travelling to Cologne to take on reigning world champions Germany five days later.
