Nyon - FC Bayern München have been drawn against Arsenal FC in the last 16 of the UEFA Champions League.

The tie marks an intruiging rematch of last season's last 16 tie, where Bayern won 3-1 in London before losing 2-0 on home soil - prevailing thanks to the away goals rule.

bundesliga.com summarises the post-draw reaction from the Bavarians' camp...

Karl-Heinz Rumennigge (FC Bayern Chief Executive): "We'll be very respectful of Arsenal. Luck plays a huge role in the draw. They're the Premier League leaders, a very stable side and we know what to expect. Borussia Dortmund have won in London already this season, but everyone is under pressure at the last 16 stage."

Matthias Sammer (Sporting Director): "We're taking it as it comes. I can live with the draw. We'll be working very hard as soon as we get back and we need to show our best form not once, but twice against Arsenal."

Jerome Boateng: "They're the most difficult opponent we could have imagined. They'll be very well-motivated after last year and they'll be two intense games."

Philipp Lahm: "It's a good omen but bad opposition! They were certainly the toughest of the second-placed sides we could have drawn. We're really looking forward to taking on the German players they've got - and we've got good memories of London."

Dante: "We'll have to concentrate very hard for both legs. We're not actually that happy, we wanted to avoid Arsenal and AC Milan. It's the Champions League though, and there are plenty of good teams. Arsenal are much better this season than last."
