Dortmund - Borussia Dortmund head coach Jürgen Klopp will have to watch his side's forthcoming UEFA Champions League tie against Arsenal FC from the stands after the club opted against appealing UEFA's decision to extend the 46-year-old's ban to two games.

Klopp was sent off in Dortmund's 2-1 defeat to SSC Napoli on Matchday 1 and, after missing out on the 3-0 victory over Olympique de Marseille, in which assistant Zeljko Buvac took charge of the 2013 Champions League finalists, will also be sidelined on October 22.

"My main motivation is that I don't want to give off the impression that I'm trivialising or detracting from my personal misconduct. I stand by my responsibilites as a head coach and accept the decision with a heavy heart," explained Klopp. "I have complete faith in Zeljko and his work. He is the best coach that I've ever had the pleasure of working with in my career."
