Bayern Munich crowned Bundesliga champions after win at Wolfsburg
Bayern Munich secured a 26th Bundesliga title – a record-breaking fifth in succession – courtesy of a 6-0 win at Wolfsburg's Volkswagen Arena on Matchday 31.

Despite recent disappointments, Bayern set about their task in a professional manner from the off. Thomas Müller came close early on, before David Alaba bent an excellent free-kick into the top left-hand corner of Koen Casteels' goal. Carlo Ancelotti's side were rarely threatened thereafter, knocking the ball about with ease, and doubled the lead when Robert Lewandowski finished with aplomb from the edge of the area. The Pole added to his tally moments before the break, converting Kingsley Coman's low cross, and sending the travelling fans into dreamland.
They remained there into the second half: although Alaba and Coman both spurned chances for a fourth goal shortly after the restart, Bayern were in cruise control throughout. The fourth goal eventually arrived when Arjen Robben, with a typical run inside and shot from the edge of the box, beat Casteels low to the keeper's left. After Luiz Gustavo was dismissed, Müller and Joshua Kimmich rounded the scoring off for the champions from close range, before Ancelotti's troops saw out proceedings with a minimum of fuss – in true champion style – the final whistle merely serving as the cue to start the party.

Man of the Match
It was fitting that a man who has been so decisive for Bayern all season had the final say as the Bavarians romped to the title: Lewandowski's fine first-half brace lifted him to 28 Bundesliga goals for the season and meant the visitors were in the driving seat by half-time.
Talking Point
Bayern will rightly celebrate this title – a remarkable fifth consecutive Bundesliga success – but with standards so high in Munich, after recent UEFA Champions League and DFB Cup exits Ancelotti and Co will have half an eye on next season already. The additions of Niklas Süle and Sebastian Rudy will add hunger to the squad, while Coman underlined against Wolfsburg that he is a ready-made replacement out wide.
