Ilkay Gündogan has announced he is to leave Borussia Dortmund and join Manchester City FC, but the artful midfielder's contribution to BVB's success will live long in the memory at SIGNAL IDUNA PARK.

After arriving at BVB from 1. FC Nürnberg in summer 2011, Gündogan was charged with the formidable challenge of filling the boots of the departed Nuri Sahin.

Undaunted, the Germany international excelled in the role, helping Dortmund to a domestic double in his maiden season with the Schwarzgelben and becoming an integral part of the club's continued on-pitch success.
